Local clothes museum in Iran

Specialized museum of local clothes and textiles in Iranian province of South Khorasan is the first of its kind inaugurated in the country.

The museum exhibits the traditional attire of South Khorasan Province ranging from handmade silk garments to traditional fabrics.

Gathering the clothes and other textiles presented at this museum has taken about five years that include pieces from the Qajar period to the present time.

The museum, inaugurated in June 2021, also showcases the textile-making process from growing cotton plants to making different types of woven fabrics.
